

Based in Singapore, Sinndar Maynard Services was established in 2011 and has been providing specialized consultancy to Oil and Trading Companies to develop regional oil product terminals in the South East Asia region. Since then we have expanded our business scope to serve Energy, Environmental, Mining and Trading Companies worldwide.
Energy Trading Advisory

Provide general and specific trading solutions and support to Energy Trading and Oil Companies. This advice is offered at all corporate levels including Physical and Paper trader support; Oil related business development trading support (with an emphasis on Africa, Middle East and South East Asia); Trading Strategy advice; and Board of Directors Trading Advisory Service. In appropriate circumstances, Sinndar Maynard Services may accept assignment as Directors to Client Boards.
We also provide commercial consulting for E&P contractual arrangements in Africa and Latin America.
Investment advisory

Provide direct investment support to private clients and investment companies using strategies derived from energy, oil and market trading methodologies. Funds are held in custodian banks in Singapore.
Advisory for Partnership with Governments

Provide support or direct negotiations with Government partners on energy investment and trading matters. We work directly with clients to find optimal solutions for business partnerships with state and regional government in Africa, Middle East and South East Asia.
Commercial Advisory for Projects
Sinndar Maynard works with clients in the investment, energy and shipping sector to identify new business opportunities in new markets. Sinndar Maynard devises project concepts for its clients by understanding their capability and capacity and identifying new markets and projects for them.

In house technical specialist working with our engineering and design consultants determine the optimal technical solution and devise preliminary and detailed costing data which is fed into the feasibility studies to determine and refine commercial feasibility with respect to Capital and Operation Expenses.

Projects
Industrial Water Treatment in Canada
Sinndar Maynard provided technical and commercial support to a Canadian operator treating mixed industrial waste water from hydrovac trucks used in construction businesses.
LPG Terminal
Sinndar Maynard was contracted by an international energy trading company to determine the feasibility to build an LPG terminal in South East Asia to support a marketing and distribution business.

Demand Side Energy Efficiency
(Republic of Yemen)
The group advised the Ministry of Electricity & Public Electricity Authority in the Republic of Yemen on devising suitable energy efficiency programs and subsequently raised equity funding to finance the project.
Power Company
Sinndar Maynard has been working with an advanced Waste to Power Company to export their technology to Thailand. The steps taken have included assessing the feasibility of project implementation with consideration of the Thai market for power and identifying the right area and partners.
To date we have gained necessary approvals on behalf of our client and structured an agreement with a local utility to partner with them for the waste management element of the business.
Indonesia project
Sinndar Maynard consults on projects concerning the sequestration of carbon dioxide from mining and power plant operation in Indonesia. The focus of the business is to create structures for CO2 abatement using both geological sequestration and offset.

Amir Shahran
Amir has worked extensively in project origination and execution across a wide range of sectors ranging from refinery, power plant, shipping and downstream installations. He started his career at Goldman Sachs International before moving to El Paso Merchant Energy where he worked on the Merchant Energy and Origination side of the business.He spent five years working for Samsung Corporation where he was responsible for business development in the European, Middle East and North African markets.

Samuel Owen
Samuel has thirty years of experience in the oil industry in the Asia Pacific region holding positions with Shell, Elf, Phibro, Chevron and more recently EVP with Enoc.Samuel's expertise is in the area of systems of trading management and operations. He works on building the fabric of companies.

Stephen has worked for three decades in the oil industry. He started in Shell International managing government relations and later proprietary trading in Elf Aquitaine throughout Middle East and Africa. Thereafter, he moved to Arcadia Petroleum and held the position of CEO in Arcadia Singapore.
He is currently an Advisor at Power & Water, a company based in UK which employs a novel technology in cleaning and purifying polluted water, as well as a Director in Immunitrack, Danish immunology company specialising in the analysis of peptide bonding for vaccines, medicines and antigen. Stephen has extensive experience of deal-making with the highest levels in various industries, as well as government leaders.
He is also the Trustee of BlackGreen a charitable foundation focusing on business participation in Carbon Dioxide reduction and climate change.

Shell International & Elf Oil: Negotiated multi-billion dollar Aerospace deals with Saudi Arabia and Iran.
Arcadia: Built trading business in Asia Pacific from zero in 1995 to $13.4b in 2011. Was an CEO, launched the Company first public structure financing RCF (first in the Group’s history). The RCF enabled $3b of credit line.
Hansa Oil Exploration 2014: Successfully obtained license for oil drilling block in Namibia, and farmed out the block to Tower Resources and Repsol, for drilling.

Prof Niall Mac Dowell FIChemE FRSC
Niall is a Professor in Energy Systems Engineering at Imperial College London. He is a Chartered Engineer, a Fellow of both the IChemE and the Royal Society of Chemistry. His research is focused on understanding the transition to a low carbon economy, and has published more than 200 peer-reviewed scientific papers at the molecular, unit operation, integrated process, and system scales in this context.
Niall has more than a decade’s experience as a consultant to the public and private sectors. He has worked with a range of private sector energy companies, and is currently seconded to BEIS where is working as an expert policy advisor on CCUS and GGR.
Niall is a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of TotalEnergies, the Norwegian CCS Research Centre (NCCS), and Joule. He was a member of the US National Petroleum Council (NPC) CCUS Roadmap Team, as well as the technical working group of the Zero Emissions Platform (ZEP), the Carbon Capture and Storage Association (CCSA), and is a science advisor to the venture capital fund, Carbon Direct.
A multi award winning scientist, Niall was awarded the Qatar Petroleum medal for his research in 2010 and the IChemE’s Nicklin and Junior Moulton medals for his work on low carbon energy in 2015 and 2021, respectively.

Anze has more than 40 years of experience in crude, products, Shipping and Storage business in most part of the world. He established West Port Inc in the States, Arcadia Petroleum London and Mitsui Oil Asia in Singapore.
He was the Managing Director of Arcadia Singapore until June 2013 and is now the Managing Director of his own Advisory business. Anze was involved in various projects such as Balongan Refinery Project, Tuban Petrochemical project in Indonesia, Qatar NODCO Refinery and South Pars Oilfield in Iran.
